Welcome Spring! April brings about many exciting events for students. We have our annual 5k Fun Run that will be held on April 11th at Fremont High School. If you haven’t already signed up you can still sign up in the office or the morning of the race.
Our PTSA will be holding a Fundraiser Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A in Riverdale on April 16th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Please mention the spirit night before your transaction is complete and 25% of your total will be donated to Rocky Mountain Junior High!
Our Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club has been actively involved in continuing to spread the message from the Rachel’s Challenge assembly that was held earlier this school year. The Rachel’s Challenge assembly is an anti-bullying program that encourages students to:
- Look for the best in others
- Dream Big
- Choose positive influences
- Speak with kindness
- Start your own chain reaction
The students of the FOR club have conducted an activity for students to be involved in each month that supports these principles such as Operation Validation, Compliment Wall, Dream Tree, If you Knew Me and Happy Hall-i-days This month the FOR Club will be participating in a service project for West Haven City.

I can’t believe that we are in 4th quarter and almost finished with this school year! It has been a wonderful year. Let’s finish strong Grizzlies!
First of all, we would like to thank Sierra RV for their generous donation to fund our new computer lab. As we continue to prepare today's students for tomorrow's world, this gift makes a daily difference to our school.
It’s hard to believe that we are already into 3rd quarter! Grizzlies have been working hard and have accomplished many great things so far this school year. February brings about some exciting events for many of our students. The 9th graders will be meeting with the Fremont High or Roy High counseling departments to begin their registration process for next year. 7th & 8th graders have also begun their registration process for next year as well. The RMJH counselors have met with many of the incoming 7th grade students at the elementary schools to introduce themselves and to begin their registration process. The week of February 2rd - 6th is Counselor Appreciation Week! Make sure you take a minute and thank your counselor for all of their hard work and dedication.
Our students will be participating in the SAGE testing this month. They have been working hard all year to get ready. Good Luck Grizzlies!

Student DROP-OFF and PICK-UP Locations
Our Sub 4 Santa campaign is off to a great start! During Den Time students have been competing in a dodge ball tournament. The Den Time classes form a team of ten players and pay an entry fee for their team to compete. All of the fees are donated to the Sub $ Santa campaign. The championship game will be held during the assembly on December 23rd. Students have done a wonderful job so far donating and participating in the dodge ball tournament to help out those who are less fortunate. Our student body officers and peer leaders have identified several families in our community who are in need of some help this Christmas. The money that is donated for Sub 4 Santa will go towards helping these families this holiday season. So far RMJH students have raised just almost $3,000! Thank you for your donations. If you would like to make a donation please come into the office!
The volleyball and NAL teams had a great season! Volleyball made it to the playoffs but came up a little short. Our students are the best! Not only are they athletic but they are smart! Way to go Grizzlies.
We are continuing to work on our goal of having our entire 9th grade on track for graduation through our Back on Track – Grizzlies for Graduation program.
